Cluster F'12 Celebration

My cluster (F'12 - best cluster in CBS history) had a lot of accomplishments to celebrate from the past year. What better way to celebrate than a Friday afternoon rooftop party?!

For one, we are cluster cup champions!! I blogged about Cluster Cup earlier this year - basically it is a first year tournament between all of the first year clusters. We were neck in neck with our cluster rival all year so we were happy to secure #1 bragging rights.

Team Sunshine (my learning team who I do all of my assignments with) is also happy to welcome our first cluster F baby this month. Ethan is going to be a DAD! We got this cute bib with the cluster F logo on it so baby Ethan will remember his CBS roots.

None of us can believe our first year of business school is almost over - it feels like just yesterday we were all having the awkward "what did you do, where are you from" small talk at orientation. Now we can't go a day without talking or it feels like we have too much to catch up on. It will be weird not seeing people everyday this summer when we all part ways for internships, but thankfully many people will be in the city this summer so we can still see each other.

5 Boro!

Last Sunday some classmates and I (along with 32,000 New Yorkers) cycled 42 miles across the boroughs of New York City in the annual 5 Boro Bike Tour. It was AWESOME. The entire city was ours for the day, and the weather was perfect.
We started in Manhattan (Battery Park) and then made our way to the Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn. We opted out of finishing in Staten Island because apparently there is usually a 2 hour wait to get the ferry back to Manhattan.

I was super impressed by how well the 15 of us managed to stay together in this crazy crowd!

My friend Daniele showed up all of us commoner "bikers" as he did the first 26 miles on a Unicycle. The crowd went crazy for him.

Because there were so many people and the streets had to be shut down on an incremental basis, the ride was a bit of stop and go. It was really more of a recreational fun event as opposed to a grueling work out. They had several rest stops with live bands, food, and water. The atmosphere was fantastic - it definitely ranks as one of my top New York memories.

After the 8 hour ride, we had to reward ourselves with some beer, pizza, and sitting :-)

I will definitely be doing the tour again next year, and Rob is on board for it as well. In fact, I enjoyed myself so much I am considering buying a bike to take up more cycling. The minor caveat is figuring out how I will fit a bike in my NYC sized apartment!

Ladies who Lunch

After a grueling four hour exam, a couple of girlfriends and I headed to Le Pain Quotidien for a quick bite. Our quick bite turned into a four hour gab-fest spent chatting about anything and everything. Halfway through my rustic tuna tartine (which was delish), I had to take a moment to fully appreciate the beauty of this lunch - a leisurely Wednesday afternoon with no rush to get anywhere or do anything. Just good ole fashioned quality time with the girls. It's not everyday the type-a schedule crammer in me allows for such indulgence!

I could get used to this...

Good Morning New York!

Just got back from a refreshing 9 mile run with Rob - what a day in New York!! The sun is shining, spring blossoms are blooming, the summer dresses are out, and pinkberry is packed! And karaoke in K-town tonight with my classmates!!

This week couldn't get any better.

My famous friend

Last Thursday night I got a private Say Yes to the Dress showing with my famous friend Leah. I was with her when she heard about getting on the show so it was fun seeing how it all played out! Apparently, the producers get up to some sneaky editing to create a bit of "drama" so it is definitely a bit exaggerated, but both her and her sister look fabulous on the big screen!

She looks so gorgeous in all of these dresses! She didn't end up buying one of the dresses on the show because she had her heart set on a Vera (much to the disappointment of JD and Randy who are apparently awkward and pushy). Her fiance will still be surprised when she walks down that aisle in St. Barts this June (yaaaay for destination weddings!).

Petty in Pink

Just caught up on last night's "Petty in Pink" Gossip Girl episode, and oh how I am just lusting over Blair's Oscar de La Renta dress.

I want her wardrobe! And I want to be invited to a Pink Party - so fun!

One Day!

The countdown to hubs' arrival is winding down to just ONE DAY!! It is taking everything I have to concentrate on anything longer than 5 minutes - I'm just so excited!!!

He is flying into Philly, and we have a welcome home party planned for him at my Mom's house with some American classics. What makes his arrival even more special is that all of my friends and family are equally as excited to welcome him home.

Our BFF couple Nick and Lex even sent this welcome basket full of American goodies. We are so blessed to have such wonderful, thoughtful people in our lives!
